Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical EIT II to broaden technical task responsibilities, support design analyses, and mentor junior engineers. You will help keep deliverables on schedule, coordinate with disciplines, and assist with Revit/CADD production under senior guidance.

The role emphasizes ownership, accountability, and professional growth within a collaborative, owner‑led firm environment, with opportunities for onsite site visits and rule compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college and two years’ applicable experience.
• Pass the FE exam and be certified EIT with a state licensure board.

Responsibilities

• Support design analyses and coordinate tasks across disciplines on active projects.
• Assist with production of designs in Revit and/or CADD and coordinate with designers.
• Read blueprints and specifications and maintain organized technical files.
• Mentor EIT I peers and assist senior staff on software, standards, and codes.
• Participate in owner/client/architect meetings and communicate requirements to contractors.
