Oxford Industries in Lexington, KY is seeking a Senior Designer to lead creative development for assigned product categories, translating seasonal brand direction into compelling, commercially successful assortments from concept through production.

This role drives category strategy, leads design process milestones, mentors designers, and collaborates with Product Development, Sourcing, Merchandising, Marketing and Sales to ensure on-time delivery that reflects Beaufort Bonnet Company’s brand

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of proven fashion design experience.
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of CAD and PLM software.
Strong sketching, illustration, and design capabilities.
Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, construction techniques, fit, trims.
Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights into commercially successful assortments.
Strong merchandising principles, product lifecycle, costing and margins.

Responsibilities

Lead the creative development and seasonal design process for assigned product categories from concept through production.
Develop category strategies and product assortments aligned with brand identity and business objectives.
Research market trends and consumer insights to inform development and future assortments.
Lead the creative development of seasonal prints, color direction, fabrics, trims, and details.
Ensure quality, consistency, and design integrity across categories while balancing cost objectives.
Own the seasonal design calendar and ensure milestones are met.
