Job summary

DTJ Design Inc in Austin seeks an experienced Designer/Architect to lead project design from concept through documentation and implementation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative environments.

Based in DTJ's Austin office, you will manage clients, consultants, and project teams, applying strong leadership, technical detailing, and proven design skills to advance award-winning projects and firm growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
10+ years of relevant professional architectural experience.
Proven ability to lead projects, manage consultants, and build client relationships.
Strong design, graphic, and communication skills.
Licensed architect or actively pursuing licensure; SketchUp experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects from concept through construction documentation and project delivery.
Manage project teams, consultants, and project deliverables.
Develop and coordinate drawing sets, technical documentation, and project presentations.
Collaborate with architecture, planning, and landscape teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project team members.
