Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience
• 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education; combination equal to 6 years
• Retail/sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and leads
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Engage in current and emerging design trends and use design applications

Base PayThis role has a minimum base pay from $17.37 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.Purpose:Floor & Decor Sr. Designer leads our design team and provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve.
