Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, assess project needs, and craft design concepts that reflect personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

You will advise on materials (tile, wood, stone), schedule design appointments, and manage multiple projects from inquiry to installation with clear, timely communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including concise communication to customers and others.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals.

Base PayThis role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.Purpose:Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve.
