Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Senior Designer to lead our design team in Warwick, RI. You will meet with customers, translate needs into creative design concepts, and guide projects from consultation through installation.

The role requires a design degree or 6 years of interior design experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and design tools. Retail design experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and customer relationship building.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years of interior design experience in lieu of formal education.
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• Proficient math skills and basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and understand their project needs to create tailored design concepts.
• Schedule and conduct design appointments, and build clientele through referrals and in-store leads.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects across all phases with clear communication and timely updates.
• Collaborate with store leadership to drive sales goals and project execution.
• Stay current with design trends and utilize design tools including Salesforce and the Online Design Scheduler.
