Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele.

Base PayThis role has a minimum base pay from $15.55 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.Purpose:Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. At Floor & Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget.Minimum Eligibility RequirementsMinimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experienceDegree in Design is a plusKnowledge of hard surface flooring is a plusProficient in basic mathematical skillsMust be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suiteInternal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant positionEssential FunctionsGreet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needsSchedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the storeProviding tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutionsManage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others.
