Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, understand their project needs, and create personalized design concepts.

You will educate customers on all requirements, build a concept aligned with personal style, lifestyle, and budget, and drive sales through consultative service. The role emphasizes scheduling appointments, advising on tile/wood/stone, and collaborating with store leadership to manage multiple projects from inquiry to installation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year interior design experience or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers and develop clientele via networking/referrals and store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up; maintain clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals.
• Support company initiatives and coach best practices with store employees.
• Engage in current design trends in your market.
• Understand and utilize design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, MyProject).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Base PayThis role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.Purpose:Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve.
