Job summary

Gensler invites a dedicated Technical Designer to translate sketches into realized 2D/3D models and images, collaborating with Design Directors to drive design through construction documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an architecture degree, 10+ years of experience, and strong Revit/BIM skills, with excellent client coordination. Base salary ranges from $104,000 to $128,000, with bonuses and benefits based on experience. VR/AR knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect preferred but not required.
• At least 10 years of related experience, including proven ability to deliver projects from beginning to end.
• Experience interpreting building code requirements in designs, coordination with consultants, and clear client communication during CA.
• Proficient in the use of 2D/3D software, including Revit, BIM360, Octane, SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, V-Ray, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Experience using VR and/or AR as applicable to the architectural design process is a plus.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
• Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
