Job summary

Ensora Health, a leader in software for mental and behavioral health, seeks a Senior Product Designer to evolve and govern our design system across web and mobile. You’ll ensure parity between design and code, partner with engineering, and champion accessibility standards across healthcare products.

You’ll also collaborate with TheraNest product initiatives, applying research expertise to create accessible, responsive experiences while remaining hands-on with design work and governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product or UX design, including 3+ years leading design systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience managing and evolving an effective design system with components, patterns, tokens, documentation, and governance.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with attention to detail and design quality.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) and accessible design approaches.
• Experience designing responsive web and native mobile experiences.
• Proven experience designing complex products with product managers and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Figma skills: components, prototyping, branching, tokens, AI tools, documentation, parity maintenance.
• Experience partnering with engineering on a coded component library; knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Strong communication: presenting to stakeholders and receiving/giving critique.
• Online portfolio showing design-system and product design work; experience with AI in design/research workflows.
• Experience preparing design systems to work effectively with AI-enabled tools and development practices.
• Experience designing healthcare/regulated or data-sensitive products.
• Experience migrating products to a modern design system.
• Strong technical proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing React components or using Material UI.
• Experience using product analytics to inform design decisions.
• User research and testing capabilities: planning, data collection, analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution, management, and quality of the design system across web and native mobile experiences.
• Partner with engineering to plan, design, review, test, QA, and release design system updates.
• Maintain parity between designed and coded sources across responsive experiences.
• Evaluate design system solutions for accessibility and usability; document accessibility expectations.
• Maintain design system documentation including usage guidance, responsive behaviors, specifications, and accessibility standards.
• Support the system’s AI readiness through documentation, tokens, guidance, and connections.
• Lead design system meetings, office hours, demonstrations, critiques, and team rituals.
• Manage design system governance; review requests and balance consistency with product needs.
• Write and prioritize design system backlog items; translate needs into actionable work.
• Partner with product managers as UX counterpart for TheraNest initiatives; collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.
• Design user-centered solutions aligned with business goals and metrics.
• Produce concepts, wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, specifications, and detailed deliverables.
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing with product partners.
• Present design work to internal teams and stakeholders to gather feedback.
• Use approved AI tools to improve design, research, documentation, and workflows.
• Mentor designers and raise design craft and system fluency across the team.
