Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Design Responsible Engineer to coordinate development and release of Active Suspension systems from concept to product launch. You will be the main technical contact between Global Product Development and suppliers, ensuring timing and performance targets are met.

You will lead design reviews, DFMEA with suppliers, coordinate software and hardware development, and track cost investments while supporting future design directions and issue resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in engineering role.
• Excellent analytic, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment.
• Familiar with accounting standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and release of Active Suspension System components from design concept to product launch.
• Serve as main technical contact between Global Product Development and supplier.
• Release of Component Technical Specification including mechanical, hardware and functional requirements.
• Coordinate technical reviews and assessments for new sourcing.
• Support Validation Team to release Component DVP&R according to global standards.
• Coordinate Design Reviews with the support of senior technical experts (Core team).
• Coordinate DFMEA release by supplier.
• Coordinate component Software Development with the support of SW Team.
• Track piece cost & investment.
• Support future design direction, lead and facilitate resolution of component issues.
• Lead design changes through change management process.
• Support supplier quality assurance & warranty resolution.
• Work with Value Optimization department to achieve component cost reduction targets.
