Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Design Researcher in Hoboken to lead comprehensive user research, guiding design strategies for advertising and data products. You will synthesize qualitative and quantitative data, partner with Product, Design, and Business leaders, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for product improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area.
• 5 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
• As permitted by applicable law, provide evidence of full vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines OR secure approval of medical or religious accommodation for the vaccination mandate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive user research including interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to inform design strategies and identify experience gaps.
• Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights that enhance user interaction and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align research findings with business goals, ensuring effective communication and consensus building.
• Develop and guide research methodologies, verifying data accuracy and addressing inconsistencies to support design decisions.
• Translate research insights into clear recommendations that drive product improvements and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback to optimize user experience.
