Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA seeks a Sr. Manager, Design Program Management to lead and scale the DxD Design Program Management function.

You will own strategy, operations, and team leadership for PMs responsible for scoping, planning and delivery of design programs across multiple product portfolios. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in design program management, 5+ years in people management, and excels at influencing senior leaders while building scalable frameworks that improve design delivery and

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design program management or design operations.
• 5+ years in people management leading program managers.
• Experience in matrixed organizations.
• Experience defining program strategy across multiple teams or units.
• Experience owning end-to-end program delivery at scale.
• Experience presenting to VP-level executives and influencing senior leaders.
• Experience cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering in software environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the design program manager function, strategy, operating model, and standards across portfolios.
• Build and lead a team of Design Program Managers embedded across multiple design teams.
• Partner with Design leaders to align priorities with business objectives and roadmaps.
• Establish mechanisms for program planning, prioritization, resource management, and status communication.
• Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and Design to integrate design into product lifecycles.
• Provide visibility into portfolio health, capacity, and risks for DxD leadership.
