Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master of Science degree in STEM with 7 years, or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. government Secret clearance.
• Experience leading technical teams, IPTs, cross-functional teams, or matrixed organizations.
• Experience supporting air vehicle or missile with survivability requirements through design, integration, manufacturing planning, production readiness, or transition to execution.
• Influence system or design decisions to improve producibility, affordability, manufacturability, and testability.
• Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, test, operations, program management, and capture organizations.
• Experience developing manufacturing strategies, build plans, cost drivers, schedule assumptions, business cases, or production-readiness plans.
• Experience supporting proposal development, capture strategy, price-to-win, affordability analysis, or early technical baseline definition.
• Ability to brief technical strategy and affordability trades to senior leadership.
• Experience working on SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manages a diverse set of Survivability CRAD and IRAD development programs.
• Oversees cost, schedule and technical performance of research programs and engineering staff.
• Serves as the key interface to Engineering for staffing, employee growth and performance reviews.
• Responsible for all phases of Survivability Portfolio programs from inception through completion.
• Defines and integrates Survivability designs and systems for future vehicle systems.
• Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research and development.
• Coordinates with NGAS divisions to capture requirements and technology investments.
• Develops and executes Research & Technology roadmaps for internal and external customers.
• Coordinates proposals, business plans, statements, budgets and contract terms.
• Interacts with external customers and national experts; identifies growth areas and expansion opportunities.
