Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Airframe Design for Survivability - NG Fellow 1 onsite in Redondo Beach, CA. The role leads complex survivability design, analysis, and demonstrations for advanced aircraft capabilities, with opportunities to shape program strategy.

The candidate brings deep expertise in materials, RCS, and production-ready design, and must hold a security clearance or be able to obtain one. Onsite work schedule is 9/80 with every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Master’s, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM degree with extensive experience.
• Significant airframe survivability design experience including materials modeling and signature characterization.
• Ability to defend a survivability design posture across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and consultant to multiple programs and sector initiatives.
• Develop and maintain the NGAS Survivability Airframe vision and roadmaps for Edge technologies.
• Lead independent review teams and mentor engineers.
