Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Design Operations lead to own a portfolio of connected programs across design, product, and engineering. You will shape long-term strategy, translate it into launch plans, and establish processes that optimize UX practices and measure success.

You will mentor designers and researchers, write governing docs, run design thinking workshops, and partner with executives to align priorities, manage risks, and drive high-velocity execution at scale.

Qualifications

6+ years of design program management experience.
Experience managing UX programs with Design and Research teams.
Translate business and customer needs into right solutions.
Effective stakeholder management and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

Create and facilitate design thinking workshops.
Write and contribute to org-level operational docs including monthly/quarterly reviews and operating plans.
Use AI capabilities to develop and govern operational mechanisms (tools, frameworks, quality standards) that increase the efficiency and productivity of UX designers, researchers, and design operation peers.
Coordinate roadmap prioritization with design, product, and development leads.
Lead through influence across peers and partner teams.
Define and drive completion of team and org-level goals.
Communicate program status and strategy with executives and cross-functional partners.
