Justrite Safety Group seeks a Sr Design Engineer to lead mechanical design of fabricated sheet metal cabinet products from concept through production release, creating 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.

You will drive design-for-manufacture improvements, support NPD and sustaining engineering for the Safety Cabinet line, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Regulatory to ensure performance and compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of product design experience in manufactured goods.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and 2D drawings for production release.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and production documentation.
• Experience with prototypes, pilot builds, and production support.

Mansioni

• Design and develop fabricated sheet metal cabinet products from concept through production release.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications; ensure accuracy and configuration control.
• Drive design-for-manufacture (DFM) improvements across sheet metal fabrication, welding, finishing, and assembly processes.
• Lead engineering change activities (ECR/ECO) to implement product improvements and cost reductions.
• Support compliance and certification requirements for safety cabinets; coordinate tests and documentation.
