Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects from new builds to rehabilitations. You will provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues, including facilities HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and at least five years of experience. You will mentor junior engineers, write RFIs, and shape project standards while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• PE license required; active status preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in relevant facilities design.

Responsibilities

• Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects to specification.
• Perform complex calculations and develop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems.
• Direct workflow of less-experienced engineers and mentor junior staff.
• Write technical narratives in response to RFIs.
