Job summary
IDEAL Industries seeks a Senior Design Engineer I to create innovative interconnect and power distribution solutions for the Energy market. The role provides technical leadership, translates customer needs into manufacturable products, and guides development from concept through commercialization.
You will lead design activities, perform advanced simulations, select materials and processes, and produce thorough documentation while collaborating with product management and external partners to
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
- 10+ years experience as a Design Engineer or in a related role with a strong portfolio.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering or product-development experience in Energy, electrification, or high-power markets.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) and advanced simulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and development of advanced products from concept through production.
- Translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs and participate in design reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Supply Chain, and customers to identify opportunities and drive qualification through production.
