FCS Curtiss Wright Flow Control Service LLC in Middleburg Heights, Ohio is seeking a Senior Design Engineer - Electrical Penetration to lead design work and deliver detailed drawings. The role focuses on meeting customer specs using SolidWorks, with emphasis on standards compliance and manufacturability.

The candidate will analyze complex issues, revise designs after testing, and collaborate with engineers on ECN/ECR documentation, BOMs, and procedures. Salary ranges reflect Ohio market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 6+ years in a similar design role with attention to standards.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar modeling software.
• Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO, ASTM, ANSI and drawing standards GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Creates, develops, and modifies designs to meet customer specs and needs.
• Produces detailed drawings using SolidWorks from sketches or notes.
• Analyzes complex design challenges and addresses technical issues.
• Troubleshoots and revises designs based on testing results and feedback.
• Suggests design modifications to improve product design, quality, and manufacturability.
• Checks drawings for correctness against project input and standards.
• Collaborates with engineers on model accuracy, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR docs.
• Verifies dimensions, materials, and quantities for completed work.
• Prepares assembly procedures, test procedures, and installation manuals.
• Enters drawing BOM into ERP system.
