Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical and electro‑mechanical design for defense products. You will perform 3D CAD work (SolidWorks), create part and assembly drawings, and validate prototypes.

The role includes project management, developing design schedules and costs, supporting testing and manufacturing, and ensuring designs meet MIL-STD-810/461 and harsh-environment requirements. Travel may be limited.

Qualificações

• Proficient in 3D CAD and SolidWorks for complex mechanical designs.
• Experience with mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies; embedded domain preferred.
• Ability to develop design schedules and cost estimates; project management skills.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/461 and testing for harsh environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to lead design reviews.

Responsabilidades

• Conceptual design, 3D modeling, and drawing at part and assembly levels.
• Engineering project management and coordination with stakeholders.
• Develop design schedules and cost estimates for programs.
• Support releases, revisions, testing, and validation activities.
• Analyze failures and implement corrective actions; prototype validation.
• Contribute to design-for-manufacturability and engineering standards.
