Job summary

Shoals Technologies Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced power distribution and electrical infrastructure products for next-gen data centers. You will drive reliable, manufacturable solutions addressing AI and cloud-scale power needs, guiding projects from concept through commercialization.

The ideal candidate brings strong product development experience in electrical/mechanical design, with expertise in data center power systems and leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of product development and engineering design experience.
Experience designing power distribution, electrical infrastructure, or mission-critical systems.
Proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCAD and related CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of data center power infrastructure products.
Create and review drawings, BOMs, and product documentation using CAD and PDM tools.
Perform design calculations, tolerancing analyses, thermal assessments, and structural evaluations.
Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and Operations.
Mentor junior engineers and lead DFMEA and DVT activities.
