Job summary

Shoals Technologies Group, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of power distribution and electrical infrastructure products for next‑generation data centers.

This hands‑on role requires strong product development experience, expertise in electrical and mechanical design, and the ability to lead projects from concept through commercialization within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years in product development/engineering design.
• Experience in power distribution or data center infrastructure.
• Proficient with CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of DFMEA and phase-gate processes.
• Experience with drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Strong communication and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of data center power infrastructure products.
• Create drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Perform design calculations, thermal and structural analyses.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on time and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and support prototype builds.
• Coordinate with compliance and certification teams.
