Core Group Resources seeks a Senior Data Center Power Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical power systems for mission‑critical data centers, translating requirements into complete architectures that meet performance, safety and cost targets.

The role emphasizes sizing and selecting major components such as BESS, transformers, switchgear, and distribution equipment, while balancing efficiency, reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical systems design experience.
• Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical power systems.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or equivalent software.
• Ability to perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Knowledge of electrical protection principles and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Design complete electrical power system architectures for mission‑critical applications.
• Develop system‑level electrical designs based on customer requirements.
• Perform electrical load analysis, power calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Select and specify major electrical components including BESS, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
• Evaluate power flow, efficiency, fault current, and thermal loading.
• Collaborate with controls and mechanical teams for integration and manufacturability.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and field commissioning.
• Develop one-line diagrams, specifications, and design calculations.
• Research emerging technologies in electrical power systems and energy infrastructure.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
