Job summary
Shoals Technologies Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of power distribution and electrical infrastructure products for next‑generation data centers. This hands‑on role focuses on reliability, manufacturability, and scalable solutions addressing AI, cloud, and hyperscale data center needs.
You will collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Operations to deliver on time and within budget, while mentoring junior
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of product development and engineering design experience.
- Experience designing data center power infrastructure or related systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data center power infrastructure products (PDUs, busway, enclosures).
- Develop solutions to improve installation efficiency, reliability, safety, and scalability.
- Create and review engineering drawings, BOMs, and docs using SolidWorks and PDM.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Lead design reviews, DFMEA, and DVT activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support prototype builds and manufacturing launches.
