Job summary

Qualdoc seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to design and apply electrical power distribution solutions for data centers. You will work with customers, consultants, and internal teams from proposal through startup, providing technical leadership and engineering submittals.

The role requires data center electrical infrastructure experience, strong reading of schematics, and travel 25–35%. Bachelor's in EE, power systems, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5+ years in applications/field/design engineering for data centers.
• Strong knowledge of PDUs, STS, and UL 891 switchboards.
• Experience with electrical one-line diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to develop engineered data center solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Prepare proposals, submittals, and technical documentation for projects.
• Support projects from order entry through installation and startup.
• Develop drawings and engineering submittals; assist with field troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and channels.
• Travel to customer sites 25–35% of the time.
