Job summary

Yakima Products seeks an experienced engineer to lead aftermarket product design in Lake Oswego, OR. You will design and redesign products, produce 2D drawings and 3D CAD, and guide teams toward cost, schedule, and performance targets.

The role requires 6+ years in engineering, SolidWorks proficiency with FEA, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and mentoring peers. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of related engineering work experience.
• 3+ years of consumer product design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD with Surfacing and FEA.
• Understanding manufacturing processes and test methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative products meeting performance, manufacturing and market needs.
• Lead design projects including 2D drawings, 3D CAD, BOMs and product specifications.
• Validate designs through analysis, prototyping and testing; manage schedules and budgets.
