Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of engineering product development experience.
• 3+ years of consumer product design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software (surfaces and FEA).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and basic machine shop practices.
• Lean manufacturing and offshore manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal English skills; Mandarin desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative concepts within the Concept Phase of the product process.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, PM, Sourcing and manufacturing partners.
• Develop CAD models, prototypes, cost estimates and product specs.
• Maintain an Engineering Notebook documenting workflow and analyses.
• Work with Industrial Designers to integrate aesthetics and UX into designs.
• Drive project schedules with the Advanced Development team.
• Support validation plans and testing with cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain product specification documents.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support projects.
