Job summary

Designer Group in Athens is seeking a Design Manager to lead a Data Centre project. You’ll be the senior authority across design, preconstruction and delivery, guiding engineering decisions, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, and aligned to programme and commercial objectives.

You’ll work closely with project teams, supply chain and clients to ensure safe system integration, oversee testing and commissioning, and mentor junior engineers while driving continuous improvement of DG design

Qualifications

5+ years of engineering experience in an M&E contractor environment.
Strong design and site delivery background (critical).
Proven history managing design consultants and subcontractors.
Deep knowledge of electrical systems and BS7671 compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead design strategy from tender through to commissioning.
Support preconstruction and estimation with value engineering and buildability input.
Manage and challenge external design consultants and supply chain partners.
Ensure design delivery aligns with programme, cost and technical requirements.
Review technical submissions, drawings and BIM models.
Provide on-site engineering support across project lifecycle, including testing and commissioning.
