Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Applied Research Laboratories seeks a Senior Design Assurance Engineering Scientist to oversee DO-278A certification of mission-critical web applications. You will guide a team through requirements elicitation, design, implementation, verification, and delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C, DO-278A, and DO-331; strong design assurance background.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-critical system design, development, and tracking of DA requirements from design to validation per DO-278A.
• Identify safety-critical interfaces and perform FHA allocations to define safety objectives.
• Map DA evidence to Design Assurance objectives and support DA Reviews.
• Develop and maintain DO-278A compliance artifacts and development assurance reports.
• Assist with Gap Analysis based on program requirements and hazard analyses.
