Ripple is seeking a Senior Derivative Accountant to own the full accounting lifecycle for derivatives across client portfolios. You will document, test, and disclose hedge activities under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, engaging with treasury and finance stakeholders to ensure precise reporting.

This hands-on, technical role requires deep knowledge of ASC 815, IFRS 9, and related fair value measurements, with exposure to audit support and cross-client coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with derivative instruments and hedge accounting.
• Deep technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9.
• Experience with fair value measurement (ASC 820 / IFRS 13).
• Comfortable managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Strong communicator: explain complex accounting to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with hedge accounting platforms preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end derivative accounting for various derivatives across client portfolios.
• Prepare and review hedge documentation, designation memos, and effectiveness testing.
• Execute quantitative and qualitative effectiveness assessments (regression analysis; dollar-offset).
• Prepare journal entries and disclosures related to hedging activities; respond to client inquiries.
• Apply judgment on hedge accounting elections and de-designation scenarios.
• Translate new FASB and IASB guidance into client-ready summaries.
• Lead audit support and liaise with external auditors on hedge matters.
• Strengthen internal methodologies and technical guidance.
