AEP Texas Company, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to direct all aspects of distributed energy resources (DERs) for the operating company.

The role includes developing strategic and tactical plans, coordinating DER interconnections, and aligning programs with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team, engage regulators and external partners, oversee interconnection processes and PPA work, and help shape policy to support DER deployments, EV charging, and energy

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology is required.
• Minimum of ten years of utility industry or applicable experience in engineering, business development, regulatory, financial and/or business strategy roles.
• Minimum of three years in a leadership role.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop an alternative energy resource strategy for customer-owned and co-sourced projects.
• Maintain continuous assessment of the strategy and make adjustments when appropriate.
• Lead DER interconnection process and team at the operating company.
• Prepare and conduct presentations, summaries, testimony, and other communications for stakeholder outreach.
• Stay abreast of current DER technologies to provide value to the company and customers.
