Job summary

PJM Interconnection, based in Audubon, PA, seeks a (Sr.) Lead Analyst/Engineer to advance integration of distributed energy resources and demand-side resources into PJM wholesale electricity markets. You will support market platforms, operations, and stakeholder engagement across a growing DER portfolio serving over 67 million people.

You will collaborate with PJM Members, operators, software teams, and industry stakeholders to enable demand response, DER participation, and grid-edge

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other similar major.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Passion for delivering reliable and cost-effective electricity.
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail.
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.
• Knowledge of retail electric customer concepts and wholesale electricity markets.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and document results using MS Excel, SAS and SQL queries of relational databases.
• Analyze electric customer load and generation meter data.
• Provide exceptional customer service to PJM membership with clear, concise communication.
• Lead cross-functional work with Market Services, System Operations, Planning, and IT in problem-solving and streamlining processes.
• Work with software teams to enhance applications for managing DR and DER.
