Job summary

The Seminole Tribe of Florida Inc. seeks a principal deputy Transportation Director to lead planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects.

You will supervise staff and consultants, coordinate permitting, and drive capital improvement initiatives in collaboration with tribal and interagency partners. The role requires a bachelor's in civil/transportation engineering, a minimum of ten years of management experience, and a professional engineer license in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of management experience in transportation planning, transportation engineering, long-range planning, land development, and project management.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida desirable.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.
• Willingness to travel; ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic guidance for planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement operational improvements to enhance departmental performance.
• Manage multiple priorities and supervise staff and consultants.
• Coordinate permitting activities and community engagement.
• Oversee capital improvement project delivery and interagency collaboration.
• Support Transportation Director and Executive Director in achieving strategic objectives.
