Job summary

Framatome, a leader in nuclear energy solutions, seeks a Department Manager for BWR Fuel Mechanical Engineering in Richland, WA. Lead design, analysis, and production support for fuel products, while guiding budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with standards.

Reports to the VP of US Fuel Design in a high-impact, onsite role. Responsibilities include directing engineering projects, developing standards, and mentoring staff to deliver value-added solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field as noted.
• Minimum 10 years of related engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards and criteria.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams.
• Proficiency with specialized software tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct timely fuel product design and manufacturing support.
• Develop department budget and manage cost centers.
• Arbitrate resource allocation issues.
• Ensure alignment with Fuel Business Unit strategies.
• Maintain training and workforce development for the department.
• Develop engineering standards and supervise performance against metrics.
