Framatome invites a Component Owner to join the Mechanical Product Design group in Richland, WA. You will own design and engineering of components used in nuclear fuel assemblies, ensuring design control from development through manufacturing and QA.

You will create drawings, specs, and parts lists while leading qualifications and supplier collaborations. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, at least 7 years' experience, strong knowledge of engineering standards, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; physics/engineering science may be accepted.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience in design/engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards and criteria.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and proactive problem-solving.
• Proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer components for nuclear fuel assemblies.
• Create design drawings, specifications, and parts lists.
• Lead qualifications and address manufacturing nonconformances.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve fabrication concerns.
• Monitor manufacturing and address real-time issues with production teams.
• Develop and qualify new/mechanical designs for future product lines.
• Support design testing; set requirements, methods, and report results.
• Perform standard engineering tasks in design, development, analysis, testing, and field work.
• Adhere to government/industry/customer engineering standards.
• Apply standard techniques with sound judgment and minor adaptations.
