Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the deployment platform within the Infrastructure org. You will own end-to-end design, implementation, and operations of rollout and configuration systems across a large fleet.

The role emphasizes safety, scalability, and collaboration with security teams. You will work on APIs that serve engineers and AI agents, extend the platform to new runtimes from Kubernetes to serverless and edge, and help ensure reliable, auditable deployments across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the role.
• Experience designing, building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Rust/Go/C++/Java).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes on AWS or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for major parts of the deployment platform and own them end to end: design, implementation, and operations.
• Build rollout safety into the platform with progressive delivery, health-gated promotion, automatic pause and rollback, and deploy controls.
• Design APIs and abstractions that work for both engineers and AI agents.
• Extend the platform to new workload types and runtimes (Kubernetes, serverless, edge).
• Build and operate runtime configuration and feature flag systems with validation and fast rollback.
• Infrastructure-as-code workflows used by many teams for safe changes.
• Scale artifact distribution to reach machines quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Security to keep the path to production secure by default.
