Job summary

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Deployment Project Manager to lead non-parking deployments within its Recognition portfolio. You will manage high-stakes deployments from planning through go-live, building scalable processes and mitigating risks while overseeing complex architectures.

You will serve as the technical anchor across the project lifecycle, translating customer needs into scalable designs and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading complex infrastructure or security deployments.
• Experience with large-scale field deployments and distributed hardware.
• Familiarity with enterprise IP cameras and systems (Axis, Avigilon, Genetec).
• Strong risk mitigation, budgeting and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex customer requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Comfort with AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, resource requirements, scheduling, and risk registers for each recognition deployment.
• Serve as the technical anchor for the project lifecycle, defining system specifications and ensuring architectural integrity from kickoff through go-live.
• Define clear scopes of work for third-party integrators, manage timelines and budgets, and conduct site audits to enforce quality standards.
• Act as the primary point of accountability and contact for customers, managing expectations and providing clear context for technical decisions.
• Collaborate with the Support organization to coordinate technical execution and ensure a structured handoff of fully deployed environments.
• Proactively identify problematic trends in current deployment processes and propose new solutions to reduce administrative overhead for technical teams.
• Set quality gating criteria for project milestones and ensure system functionality matches the agreed-upon project scope.
