Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Senior Collections Representative to support the Dental Center Billing Office in the revenue cycle. You will handle claims submission, accounts receivable, denials, and patient billing inquiries to ensure accurate and timely collections of professional fees.

The role requires experience with insurance follow up, detailed note taking, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to improve cash flow and compliance. On-site work in San Francisco, CA is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous Insurance Follow up experience.
• Graduation from high school or a GED and five years of experience, including two years of experience in collections investigation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively (orally and written).
• Experience with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently or as needed with a team.
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Process revenue cycle tasks including claim submission and denial resolution.
• Review and follow up on insurance follow ups and billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate account notes and audit trails.
• Collaborate with patients, clinics, and external vendors to resolve billing issues.
• Utilize EPIC PB/HB modules knowledge.
