Job summary

The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking a skilled dental assistant to join the pediatric dentistry clinics. You will prepare patients and materials, assist the dentist chairside, and support dental students and residents in complex procedures.

Responsibilities include handling four-handed dentistry, patient care during examinations, and maintaining records and supplies while adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from an accredited dental assisting program.
• At least two years dental assisting experience.
• CPR certification and Radiography certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chairside procedures in four-handed dentistry in pediatric clinics.
• Aid exam and treatment processes, prepare materials and instruments.
• Support dental students and residents during patient care and training procedures.
• Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment; maintain supplies and records.
