Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced pediatric ambulatory surgery team in Michigan. The DA will assist dentists and anesthesia providers, prepare supplies, scrub for procedures, and help maintain sterile OR rooms to support safe, high-quality care.

You will perform x-rays, inventory management, and front desk duties as needed, working closely with dentists, nurses, and patient services staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program.
• Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant.
• One year of RDA experience.
• Current BLS Certificate.
• Background and Drug Screening Required.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider as it relates to instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies per technique, procedure and special requirements.
• Prepare for dental surgical cases by picking supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available, and maintaining inventory and stock room.
• Familiar with procedures performed and dentist preferences.
• Provide care based on the age-related needs of the pediatric and adolescent patient.
• Take x-rays and operate x-ray equipment.
• Decontaminates and maintains all equipment, instruments, supplies and cleans surgical rooms between cases and at the end of the schedule as directed by the RN.
• Stocks and cleans rooms between cases and at the end of schedule; assist with turnover of the OR; front desk duties may be required.
