Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an experienced EDA Tools Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug software tools that support semiconductor design and manufacturing. You will work on Fill components of PDKs, develop algorithmic solutions with Calibre/ICV/Pegasus, and collaborate across process developers and design teams.

The role requires strong Unix/Linux skills, hands-on verification tool experience, and a track record in density/fill related projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in EE/CE or related field with extensive experience in physical verification and design tooling.
Hands-on experience with Calibre/ICV/Pegasus for process verification and rule development.
Familiarity with density/fill, DRC, and PVL/PVLCL style rule decks is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug Fill components of Process Design Kits (PDKs).
Provide algorithmic solutions using Calibre, ICV, and Pegasus to address density deficiencies.
Collaborate with process developers, rule owners, and end users to define requirements and implement solutions.
Automate workflows to improve efficiency and reliability across design teams.
Develop test cases and systems to validate tools and ensure integration with design methodologies.
Innovate and drive advancements in EDA tools to meet Intel's needs.
Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement new features.
