Job summary

Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Design Administrator to enable and support engineering infrastructure, design environments, and automation frameworks for vehicle and test-chip design. You will deploy and maintain EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and ICV; automate workflows; and provide customer‑focused support to engineers and CAD teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM field; 5+ years with Bachelor's, 2+ with Masters, or 1+ with PhD.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, IC Validator, and related physical design/verification tools.
• 2+ years software development and scripting in Python, Shell, TCL, Perl, or similar.
• Experience with GitHub, Git, version control, and collaborative software development workflows.
• Linux/Unix environments experience and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support engineering design environments for layout and technology development.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
• Deploy, configure, and support EDA tools and environments including Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and ICV.
• Manage GitHub repositories, version control, branching strategies, and release processes.
• Develop DevOps/CI-CD solutions to automate engineering and software deployment.
• Create setup frameworks, environment wrappers, and workflow automation.
• Troubleshoot user issues related to EDA tools, environments, access, and workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements and drive improvements.
