Job summary

Intel's DTP organization seeks an experienced EDA Tools Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug software tools supporting Intel's hardware design and manufacturing processes.

You will enable design teams to innovate, meet manufacturability constraints, and deliver leading products. The role emphasizes PDk fill, DRC and density-fill methods across advanced nodes, with hybrid work expectations in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one physical verification platform (Calibre/ICV/Pegasus).
• Experience developing or debugging physical verification rule decks (SVRF/TVF/PXL/PVL/PVTCL).
• Solid understanding of semiconductor physics, process tech, and design rules.
• Experience solving physical design challenges with algorithms.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug Fill components of PDks.
• Provide algorithmic solutions using Calibre, ICV, Pegasus to address density and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with process developers, rule owners, and end users to define requirements.
• Automate workflows and deploy across design teams.
• Develop test cases to validate tools and ensure integration with design methodologies.
• Drive advancements in EDA tools and collaborate with external vendors.
