Job summary

Intel is seeking an experienced EDA Tools Software Engineer in Hillsboro, OR, with hybrid work options and multiple U.S. locations including Santa Clara. You will design, develop, test, and debug software tools to support hardware design and manufacturing, enabling faster innovation and robust manufacturability.

Maintain and extend PDks, density-fill methodologies, and automation across design teams, partnering with cross-functional groups and external vendors to deliver advanced EDA solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in hardware design or a related EDA role.
• Experience with physical verification platforms Calibre/ICV/Pegasus.
• Experience using SVRF/TVF/PXL/PVL for DRC, density, fill verification.
• Strong Unix/Linux proficiency and scripting ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug Fill components of Process Design Kits (PDKs).
• Provide algorithmic solutions using Calibre, ICV, and Pegasus for density/ manufacturability.
• Collaborate with process developers, rule owners, and end users to define requirements.
• Automate workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and deployment across teams.
• Develop tests and systems to validate tools and ensure integration with methods.
• Maintain documentation and training materials for customers and deployment.
