Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Dell) in a field-based pre-sales role focused on Dell infrastructure solutions for CDW customers. You will develop Dell-centric architectures, guide customers, and help grow our Dell services business by partnering with delivery teams and internal sales.

You will act as a trusted advisor, design and present end-to-end Dell-based solutions, collaborate across teams, and travel up to 25% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years of experience OR 9 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or delivery role.
• Experience designing and architecting Dell infrastructure solutions tailored to CDW's client needs.
• Experience designing and architecting datacenter and hybrid solutions leveraging Dell compute, storage, and data protection platforms.
• Strong familiarity with Dell portfolio, including PowerEdge, PowerStore, PowerFlex, PowerScale, VxRail, and Data Protection solutions, is a plus.
• Familiarity with VMware, Microsoft Server, Hyper-V/Azure Local, Nutanix, and Veeam; exposure to Azure or AWS is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop appropriate assessment and service solutions for CDW customers, including architecture, optimizations, health checks, deployment services, and advisory services, focusing on Dell solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, delivery teams, and internal sales to offer consultative guidance, plan sales strategy, and author SOWs aligned to Dell offerings.
• Analyze technical and competitive considerations, define actions to meet customer goals, and craft Dell-based solutions.
• Maintain strategic relationships with customers, internal sales and delivery management as a trusted advisor to drive Dell solutions growth.
• Grow influence in your territory with Dell, partners, customers, and sales as a strategic advisor; be seen as a Dell infrastructure expert.
• Act as a subject matter expert across multiple Dell product families; contribute to CDW online content and campaigns.
• Drive outreach, enablement projects, coaching, and mentoring for other Solution Architects and Field Sellers related to Dell.
• Develop and deliver training content for team members and broader audiences.
