Job summary

Amazon is seeking a delivery station operations leader responsible for safety, quality, performance and people development across all delivery station operations in the region. You will drive the station's vision, implement quality and lean initiatives, and ensure the team meets and exceeds business plans.

You will manage a 24/7 operation, coordinate with DSPs, and present metrics to senior leadership while hiring and developing talent and sharing best practices across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years direct management in logistics/fulfillment/last-mile environments.
• Track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing: interviewing, hiring, performance, promotions, terminations.
• Strong analytical capability; able to dig into data to solve operations problems.
• Excellent communication skills (local language and English).
• Experience managing third-party resources regionally; contingent workforce in peak seasons.
• Flexible to work various hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development for all delivery station operations.
• Drives vision for station team and creates quality initiatives and lean initiatives to meet business plans.
• Problem-solves to close gaps between performance and goals.
• Set and clarify requirements for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Manage 24/7 delivery operations and rising volume complexity.
• Oversee relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Present operational metrics to the senior leadership team.
• Hire and develop top talent; create a talent plan including acquisition, performance, development, succession and engagement.
• Leverage management to source ideas and create improvement plans across the function.
• Cultivate culture and engagement across all levels of the delivery station team.
• Share best practices across departments and the network.
• Collaborate with partners (Transport & Sortation, DSP, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering) to secure resources for projects.
