Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Delivery Station Operations Leader in Texas to drive safety, quality, and performance for delivery station operations. You will lead a team of managers, implement lean initiatives, and manage DSP partnerships to hit aggressive business goals.

You will hire and mentor staff, analyze metrics, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to secure resources and improvements across the site. This role demands flexibility for varied shifts and locations within Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 7+ years direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution
• Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure
• Experience with performance metrics and lean techniques
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing (interviewing, hiring, performance management)
• Strong analytical capability and data-driven problem solving
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience managing third-party resources regionally/nationally
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons
• Willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for delivery station operations
• Lead vision setting and drive lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plans
• Identify gaps between performance and goals and implement corrective actions
• Define expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers and monitor performance
• Manage delivery of Amazon orders 24/7 and relationships with DSPs
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership regularly
• Hire and develop top talent and create a site talent plan
• Leverage managers to source ideas and drive improvement plans
• Foster a strong culture and engagement across the site
• Share best practices across departments and network
• Collaborate with Transportation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, and Engineering for resources and support
