Job summary

Lowes Foods is hiring a Deli Manager to oversee guest service, merchandising programs, and daily operations in the deli department. You will lead staff, ensure quality standards, manage inventory, and maintain sanitation and safety across the department.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory skills, and the ability to train and develop team members while meeting budgeted sales and labor targets. This position is based in-store and requires physical stamina for long shifts.

• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
