Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise the deli department, ensuring guest service, merchandising, and operations meet company standards. After training, bench managers may fill a department manager role within 30 miles of home, staying in bench if no opening.

You will lead staff to deliver friendly service, manage inventory, and maintain sanitation and safety while achieving department goals and scheduling targets.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, outgoing and able to interact with guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to deli staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform PA announcements.
